Chapter 116 Pregnant Again

• Hannah didn’t go home after her meal with Demi. Instead, she hailed a ride to a private hospital. There, she arranged for a checkup using a pseudonym. As she sat on the bench alone, feelings of unrest grew within her. After waiting nervously for two hours, the consultation room’s door opened. The doctor came out with the results, and he went up to her. “Congratulations. You’re thirteen weeks pregnant.” The report didn’t excite her. Instead, everything started spinning around Hannah, and she almost fainted. So I am pregnant. No wonder my period’s not coming.
• “Are you alright, lady? Is your husband here with you?” The doctor quickly held her after noticing her situation.
• Hannah shook her head. “I’m fine. Thank you, doctor.” After taking the report, Hannah came out of the hospital, but she looked haggard and soulless. Raindrops started falling on her head, and pedestrians hastened to the nearest shelter they could find, but Hannah seemed oblivious to the rain, slowly moving forward as she ignored the piercing chill from the rain.
