Chapter 229 Conan, Come With Me

  • Two days passed in the blink of an eye. Edith insisted on moving back home as she was feeling better. In the end, Hannah agreed to her request, at the same time informing her grandmother of her decision to hand Conan over to Connor. After all, Edith raised Conan for more than a year, so news that he would be sent away stabbed her like daggers.
  • However, she didn’t object to it, as she knew Hannah already had too much on her plate, so sending Conan off wouldn’t only ensure that he would get better care, but would also lighten Hannah’s load. Besides, Connor already forgot his past, and there was a chance that he might never regain his memories, so Hannah shouldn’t waste time on a possibly endless wait. If she were to marry another man, she had a better chance without a child.
  • With all of that in mind, Edith agreed to Hannah’s decision. While folding clothes, she mumbled, “Let’s send Conan back. Connor seems to care about him, so he would never mistreat him.”
