- Long minutes had turned into hours, the morning growing into a sunny day. Ayan was still leading her daughter deep into nowhere. They had left the rich neighborhood, and now they were on the streets. From where they stood, Ayana could see the widespreadness of the city ahead of them. It would take them a few more minutes to get into the big city, which meant they had really trekked far.
