- CONFRONTING THE FAMILY
- “Miss,” another guard decides to snap me from my thoughts. “They must be getting tired of waiting,” he says, slowly nodding his head to usher me in and perhaps tell me that that was not said in a bad way.
- And I think it is not good to keep the majesties waiting, nor my fuming self. After a nod, appreciating the guards, I stamp my fast step inside, slow, as I try to wait and see what memories I will get of this mansion after so many years. But I walk, step after another, and except for the cold aura and the bittersweet memories of the last moment I was here that slap me, my body is resistant to anything else. No good memories have a spot in my heart. Nadah!
