Chapter 28 How Will I Escape This?

• I really wish Nelly hadn't said she was coming to my house. It was the one thing I didn't want to happen. Ever since I got off the phone with Nelly, where she mentioned that she and her husband were coming to visit, I knew I couldn't avoid Gary this time. I'm pretty sure he was the one who suggested the visit to his wife. I enjoy having people visit me, especially considering my current situation, but I don't feel comfortable with Gary coming over. However, I'm relieved that he's not coming alone. His wife will be with him. One thing I've noticed about Gary is that he's very cunning and can take advantage of any situation. I wonder how he'll try to use this one. Just like he's strategizing on what to do when he arrives, I'll also plan ahead to diffuse any of his schemes.
• So what should be my first plan? I thought about it all morning and came up with a starting point. First, I'll always stay close to Nelly and find excuses to be with her wherever she goes. If not, who knows, Gary might behave inappropriately towards me, and I won't be able to stand up for myself. Although he has the upper hand in this situation, I'll do my best to act cautiously and protect myself.
