• "F-Fabio, she started it." Her voice leaked with manufactured victimhood as she gestured dramatically to herself. Please. Like I had time for her pathetic performance. Defending myself would only paint me as desperate; frankly, she wasn't worth the effort.
• The car had finally graced us with its presence. I snatched my luggage; the driver thankfully spared me the heavy lifting by tossing it in the trunk. One last glance their way revealed Fabio's weary pronouncement to the drama queen, "I can see that, Kira. But try anything again... you don't own me, and I don't own you. Go play your games, just leave her out of it."
