• The next day, the mansion buzzed with nasty gossip because of what happened. I could hear people whispering everywhere. I even heard Gabriella crying loudly in the hallway, like her world had ended because of her husband. "No! It can't be! It's not true!"
• Alessandro's voice was loud and angry. "Why are you crying for that fool? He deserved it after making us all look stupid. Don't think he loved you; he almost got my grandson killed!"
