• “Ready man?” I nodded at Stefan, my long-time friend who had come for my coronation as Supreme Alpha of all seven regions of the Southern pack. He was also my Beta. Despite his business in the human city, he had agreed. I knew he wouldn't always be available, but he was one of the few people I could trust.
• I dismissed Ferro as my Beta after hearing his part in betraying me. He had been giving Pharoah information and had taken my enforcers away to fight the other Alphas to distract them when Pharoah came to kill me. Dante had been the one to tear Ferro to pieces.
