• “Are you here to kill me?” The phoenix king chuckled, but it sounded more like a thunder clap. My men stared with mouths agape at the creature. I could read their minds as what they felt was etched on their faces. He was no match for us. We thought the griffin was magnificent, but seeing the Phoenix king in person, we already knew that this was a lost battle.
