• Fang's wolf pounced on my attacker without warning. I watched as he sank his teeth into his skin, and my attacker screamed. His eyes flashed wolf, but he couldn't shift because Brutus didn't give him the opportunity to. He tore the mask off his face, and I gasped in shock. It was Alpha Fenrir, Townsy's husband. I saw the pleading look in his eyes. He wanted me to beg Fang. But this wasn't Fang. This was Brutus. Brutus was in his feral state, and it was dangerous to try to stop him.
• With his claws, he slashed Fenrir's face, and I screamed as blood oozed out of the wound. He ripped his clothes apart and bit hard into his shoulder bone. I heard the sickening crunch of bones as crimson splayed everywhere. Combined with Fenrir's screams, and I couldn't take it anymore.
