Chapter 72 Pete's advice

• Father had fallen asleep on the couch, while Laura and Cecile were still chatting on the other couch while drinking. Cecile had a stomach for alcohol and so she could drink all day. I still remember the first time she had ended up drunk and I slept with her. She needed to drop that habit because if Dad finds out that she is responsible for the empty bottles of champagne and scotch in the store room, he is going to be pretty disappointed.
• Dad believes I am the one and he has no problem with it because he has always been advising me to learn how to drink, although not excessively. The problem is that I am not an alcohol freak, I don't even fancy it and so I seldom drink.
• I was beginning to get bored in the sitting room when my phone rang. It was Pete calling, I smiled and stood up but then I saw Laura watching me; she had suspicious eyes and they almost made me laugh. Maybe she thought I had received a call from a secret girlfriend or lover, why would I cheat on her? I haven't seen anyone better than her, not even Sabrina.
