Chapter 43 Dad's Return

• We were all seated at the dining table, by we, I mean the whole family. Dad was at the head of the table with Cecile seating at his right hand, exchanging cringe glares at each other. If only dad knew the truth about this woman .
• I felt bad for keeping him in the dark because of my own selfish gains but perhaps it was for the best. I mean, if Dad finds out the truth about Cecile, he is going to be heartbroken and his just started relationship will have to come to an end. I don't want to see him sad even though that the way he stares at Cecile cringe the fuck out of me.
• On the other hand, Cecile wouldn't dare to go on with her plan when she is fully aware that I know her secret, so that keeps dad safe till she figures out another plan or maybe gives up entirely. I mean, she might grow to love Dad or get addicted to living in so much wealth and she decides to give up on her plans to sabotage him.
