As soon as I opened my eyes, I looked straight up at the ceiling, attempting to remember what had happened the day before. I closed my eyes and turned to my side, remembering how Texas had looked at me, how great he had sounded on stage, how his female admirers had yelled his name, how well-known he had become now, and how he had appeared when he saw Sage holding my hand in front of him.
Did it hurt Texas? Did it bother him at least? It must have hurt him and bothered him. The way he looked at me when Sage held my hand and how he was obviously trying to hold back his emotions. It hurts me. It hurts me that it hurts him. It hurts me why we have to be like this even though we both know that we are still in love with each other. It hurts me because we are both suffering.
