Chapter 31 Hurt And Drunk

• Sage gazed at the inebriated Idris who was weeping on the dining table immediately opposite from him. The tea had yet to be stirred, but he had no idea how to approach Idris, who had suddenly burst into tears. He understands he has never been good at speaking to individuals who are upset or sobbing since it is not in his nature to do so. Idris, who was obviously extremely drunk as he was reminded of his heartbreak once again, which he had been trying to forget by working and studying. The feelings that he had been trying to subside by forgetting were no longer controllable, letting his feelings out once more which only allowed him to feel more hurt as they are coming back wave after wave.
• “Are you….” Sage awkwardly tries to start a conversation. “...okay?”
• Idris kept his head down low and cried a while as he shook his head sideways, “Everyone I love does not choose me.” He helplessly sobbed as he covered his face with hands. “They always choose someone or something else, but they never choose me. No one chooses me.” He pulled his head up to face Sage who was just staring back at him, not knowing what he should actually do. “Why doesn’t anyone choose me? Am I… Am I an awful person?”
