• Out Of Bed On The Right Side-
• The alarm clock rings. The worst part of the day. I open one eye to confirm you still have both of yours shut. I snuggle close into your warm side and place a kiss on your shoulder. You stir and snort your way into wakefulness. I love the bewildered look on your face as you struggle to shake off a dream.
• You have to get up. Fast as you’re able. To linger would be to put yourself in danger because I don’t have anywhere to be but in your arms this morning, and if I can persuade you to stay then I will. My leg creeps over yours. With the fingers of one hand I tip-toe across your chest. I tighten my thigh and give you a squeeze that says, ‘I’m game if you are.’
