Chapter 71 DESTINED FATE

- Looking in the direction of it, my eyes widened in disbelief as I stared at the person at the door. As they walked wholly into the ward, I just lowered my head and sat back on the bed. “How are you feeling now?” Amelia was the first person to ask, wearing a sympathetic look. My lips curved to a lopsided grin, of course, I don't need that now, and in fact, I'm the happiest man in the world. Everything is finally clear to me, my Kiara loves me and only me alone. “Please don't tell me Granny has found out about it?” I suddenly asked, peering from Amelia's face to Mack's. Mack only scoffed, then rolled his eyeballs. “Do you even care how you've gotten here last night?” Mack raised his voice, probably annoyed with the whole situation. I grinned widely, “That's why I've always got you, buddy” I paused for a quick moment as if I just heard what he just said correctly, “What did you mean by last night?” I asked then tilted my head in the direction of the window, surprising, it was morning already as the sunshine was already falling warmly. “It's morning already. Granny and I were so worried about you last night, we called your phone several times, but you wouldn't pick up. Later, Mack called me and said that you're not feeling too well and would be passing the night over at his place” Amelia narrated, sitting close to me on the bed.
- Pursuing my lips, I couldn't utter a sound, and deep down I'm not sorry because in my mind if I hadn't gotten drunk and was beaten up then I might not be able to see the revelation in my dream. “You guys should be thankful I ended up like this” I pronounced the first words that came into my mind. Smiling, I watched as Mack and Amelia exchanged a glance. “Are you okay, Alexander?” Mack asked anxiously, getting on his feet and walking closer. “Do you want us to get the doctor?” Amelia put in, looking more worried. I shook my head resolutely, still smiling, “I'm fine guys, I'm just so happy right now” I told them before readjusting on the bed, “I know you are already thinking in your mind what's the reason behind my happiness” I began again and Amelia only nodded, confirming my guess. “It's Kiara, she still loves me” I beamed with great happiness, the last time I felt this kind of elation was when I discerned that she also loves me as much as I love her. Rubbing his forehead, “I can see she came here and told you that, isn't it?” Mack said nonchalantly, but I was too busy bubbling with pleasure that I couldn't react to his words. So, I just faced Amelia and continued, “It was a dream, Amelia. A dream that felt real” She looked at me with interest as I spoke, hinting at me to continue, and I was glad. At least, someone was ready to hear me out.
