Chapter 57 I NEED YOUR HELP

  • Alexander POV
  • My gaze vetoed to stay away from her figure,, so I tolerated my eyes to linger on her. It was so hard to believe, but the obvious was striking that she's not Kiara. My Kiara was much more pretty than her with a full black silky smooth hair while she was a blonde, I despise blonde. However, their hair was the only difference, they were just so identical. The same complexion, stature, posture, stepping, everything. Even her lips were as soft as Kiara's. “Are you sure you are Amelia's real mother?” Heeding granny's question, I readjusted on my seat, fixing my eyes on the woman. I really have an interest in this matter, moreover, I've never seen such identical twins as this before in my entire life. She peeked at everyone's face then looked back at Granny, “Yes, I'm Amelia's real mother” She answered with faux confidence. Granny tuts then rose to her feet, “Then I'm confident you are aware that Amelia has a twin sister” Granny ridiculed, striding gently toward her. Immediately Granny finished her words, she became completely nonplussed, with her eyes dilated. She slowly got on her feet, abiding by Granny's gaze.
  • “What do you mean by that? I'm Amelia's biological mother, and she doesn't have a twin sister” Her voice was very low and had no confidence in it. I scoffed, putting my elbow on the armrest of the mahogany sofa I was sitting on with my hand supporting my cheek. 'It's apparent, she's not the real mother' Granny, whose back was to me, took a step forward, closing up the little space between them. “Tell me the truth now while I'm being nice, young woman. I'm sure you're not naive enough to think I'll take things handily like the last time” She put emphasis on the first words, “I don't understand what you're saying, old woman” The woman retorted and made to walk away. However, granny grabbed her arm then slapped her hard across her cheek. The head of the maids and the lady quickly jumped on their feet, looking anxious. The girl particularly. She intended to move closer, but as soon as she saw my gaze, she retreated her step. “Do you think I'm joking with you?” Granny scowled at the woman, who was still looking stunned as she subconsciously touched her face. I'm certain the area where she was slapped would be stinging by now. Serves her right though, she better hurry and spit out the truth before I interfere. “Will you say the truth now, or you want me to get the police?” Granny questioned coldly. This time, the woman quickly shook her head sideways, “I'll tell you the truth” She suffocated on her words as water streamed down her cheeks.
