- I stopped the truck at the front of Leo's estate. I could feel the guards' eyes on me, but I ignored them, stepping out with as much composure as I could muster. The estate was grand, with sprawling gardens and tall iron gates that seemed more imposing today than ever before. As I walked toward the entrance, the maids, who usually greeted me with polite smiles, were huddled together, whispering amongst themselves.
