• Leo was silent for a moment, then he nodded slowly. “I know what you mean. But maybe that’s the point. Maybe this isn’t supposed to be the end. Maybe it’s just the beginning of something else.”
• I turned to look at him, searching his eyes for understanding. “The beginning of what, Leo? We’ve lost so much. So many people are gone, and the world we knew is in ruins. How do we rebuild from that? How do we move forward?”
• He held my gaze, his expression steady and resolute. “One step at a time. We rebuild by remembering what we fought for, what we lost, and making sure it wasn’t in vain. We take everything we’ve learned—the pain, the sacrifices, the victories—and we use it to create something better.”
