- I saw the look on her face and I could not help but grin. After Selene left, I gloated, grinning from ear to ear as I wondered how to make her feel bad for daring to have feelings for my fiancé. Not that I minded, though. But seeing the way she was smiling after kissing him made me want to destroy her, emotionally break her down. It was all a game, really, a bit of fun before the wedding, even though I had my ultimate goal.
- I strode through the lavish hallways of the estate, my heels clicking sharply on the marble floor. My wedding preparations were in full swing, and everything had to be perfect. As I passed by, the staff hurriedly moved out of my way, their heads bowed. I liked it that way. Authority suited me.
