- “Maybe you’re right,” I said quietly, though the uncertainty still lingered in my heart. “But what if we’re not strong enough? What if we fail? The packs are already restless. They’ve lost so much, and we’re asking them to trust us to lead them into a future that’s anything but certain.”
- Leo’s eyes darkened with concern, and he reached out to place a reassuring hand on my shoulder. “Selena, you’ve been through hell and back, and you’re still standing. You’ve already proven that you’re more than strong enough. And as for the packs… they need stability now more than ever. We have to show them that we’re capable of providing that.”
- I took a deep breath, trying to steady the turmoil inside me. He was right. We couldn’t afford to falter now. “We’ve come this far together, Leo. I don’t know if I could do it without you.”
