Chapter 56 Hearts Entwined

• Early on in the morning, Kimberly lay awake, her thoughts racing over what had happened the night before. Although her victory against Victor seemed bizarre, the fallout left her feeling vulnerable and uncooked. Turning, she saw Travis dozing off next to her, the light of morning softening his features. A warmth emanating from him drove the last of the fearful shadows.
