Chapter 23 Uncharted Waters

• Dawn was gently peeking through her bedroom curtains when Kimberly woke up. Her thoughts were still on her talk with Travis the previous evening. They had discovered some small area of agreement in spite of everything. One stride at a time, she was resolved to negotiate these unknown seas even though she knew it wouldn't be easy.
• Her phone buzzed on the nightstand as she got ready for the day. Emily had sent a note.
• Is brunch served in The Rose Garden? I must make up for lost time.
