- ~That evening~
- Michael trudged through the front door, dead tired after a brutal day. All he wanted was to faceplant onto his bed and pass out. But when he walked into the living room, he found his mom slouched on the couch, looking like someone had run over her puppy.
- "Aw, man, not this again," Michael groaned inwardly before shuffling over to plop down next to her. "Hey, mom? You alright?"
