- The night was quiet, save for the occasional rustling of leaves in the wind. I could hear the faint calls of owls in the distance as I moved silently along the border. My senses were sharp, alert for any sign of trouble. We had already swept most of the perimeter, and everything seemed secure, no signs of threats, no disturbances. But there was something off, something I couldn’t put my finger on.
- My mind wandered back to Dawn's complaint. I hadn't felt at ease since she complained about it. I needed to get back to her as soon as possible.
