• The more I got to know Dawn, the more I found myself drawn to her. I had always kept my distance from her, but now, the quiet woman who seemed so demure was revealing layers that intrigued and captivated me. I couldn’t shake the jealousy that gnawed at me whenever I saw her with anyone else. It was as if she was a precious secret I wanted to keep to myself, a secret that no other man should have the privilege of knowing.
• So, I broke my own rules. I started seeking her out, making excuses to visit her shack in the woods.
