• I woke up late, much later than I ever had in my life. The first thing I noticed was how good I felt, so dreamy and light like I was wrapped in a cocoon of warmth and happiness. I knew we were supposed to train today, but I didn’t care. Not one bit. I tossed and turned in the bed, refusing to open my eyes, reveling in the feeling of comfort.
• Rhys's scent was everywhere, enveloping me like a protective blanket. His mark on my shoulder thrummed with delicious warmth, reminding me of what we’d shared, of the bond that now linked us. He was mine, and I was his. This was everything I’d ever wanted.
