• I had never been so shocked in my life. The way Dawn lashed out at me, the fire in her eyes, and the raw power in her voice took me by surprise. My mind was a storm of conflicting emotions, and I could feel the anger and frustration bubbling up inside me like a volcano about to erupt. I tried to ignore the way my heart raced at the memory of her standing up to me, but it was impossible. She reminded me so much of the first time we met.
