• In the dark of night, the howls of the wolves echoed through the forest as Max, the alpha of one of the oldest packs, hunted beneath the pale glow of the full moon. With sleek fur and powerful muscles, he moved through the forest with effortless grace, his senses sharp and focused as he tracked his prey.
• But as he pursued his quarry deeper into the forest, he suddenly caught a scent that sent his heart racing. The scent of a human, and a female at that. He slowed his pace, wary of the potential danger, but as he paused to sniff the air, something stirred deep within him.
• There was something about this scent, something that called to him in a way that he could not ignore. He stalked closer, silent and watchful, until he caught sight of a figure moving through the trees. It was a woman, and as he watched her, he knew undoubtedly that this was his mate.
