• Sophie woke up the next morning in a very different position than the last time she had slept in Max’s house. The man who had been sleeping behind her was now laying on his back, staring at the ceiling. She smiled widely at the sight, snuggling back into his embrace.
• If she thought that he was attractive before, she was definitely feeling it now. Even though it was still dark outside, she could see that he had bruises all over his body and a cut on his eyebrow. He was wearing the tiniest pair of boxers she had ever seen, which meant that he must have worn them last night when he had carried her to bed. His whole torso was covered by scars and scratches, and it took her breath away.
