Chapter 19 Because I'm Yours

• Max couldn't believe how he was feeling about Sophie. It was strange to him that someone like her, who was so different from him, awoken such strong emotions in him. Though he would rather not admit it, she was making him rethink everything he knew about himself and his life.
• And so, Max decided to pursue Sophie, even though it might have dire consequences for both of them. He started off small by engaging in small talk with her and getting to know her. He even had his chef cook her a special meal and left her a thoughtful note. Furthermore, he hoped that, in time, Sophie would reciprocate his feelings for her.
• Max walked into the kitchen and saw Sophie mixing batter for a cake. She looked up and saw him standing there, and her cheeks turned a deep shade of red. “Mr. Anderson,” she said in a small voice.
