Chapter 145 Accept My Apology

• “I will always fight for you and protect you, no matter what.” Max said as he leaned towards his mate. He gently pressed their lips together, but when Max pulled away, Sophie was frowning. He felt bad, it wasn't like him to kiss her and just pull away without saying anything.
• He looked around them, no one had noticed them yet, so he decided to ask if it was okay to do this. Sophie nodded, but looked down at the ground, still frowning and biting her lip. “I know it's weird, I'm sorry if I'm pressuring you into something. I promise you I'll stop, just please don't be mad,” Sophie's frown vanished as she smiled and wrapped her arms around his neck.
• “You're not pressuring me to do anything Max, I've been waiting for you to tell me that you want to make this relationship official. So, you know, I'm happy about it. This is our first kiss, though, I hope you don't mind.” Sophie kissed his cheek, before they both started laughing. She then leaned back slightly to look up at Max. “We should go somewhere quiet, where we can talk more. We can go on an island or something, I heard there are some really nice places that way.” Sophie blushed slightly as she thought of how hot she would make Max's body feel with only her fingertips. Max smirked at the thought. They were perfect for each other. He liked the idea of taking her to that island, but right now, it was late morning and kids were running everywhere.
