Chapter 51

• Kane needed no other words before he was running out of the office. The man that had barged in shared a look with me as the air from Kane’s running whipped us, and that was enough to prompt me, and I started behind him.
• “The clinic!” The man that had entered yelled after us, and we were quick to take the detour, hopping on the stairs that were leading to the clinic.
• I could hear the screams as we neared the clinic, and each shout jolted Kane, and his legs only seemed to move much faster than they were already doing.
