Chapter 26
- “Are you ready?” Charlie looked at me, his eyes sparkling wet, and if I didn’t know better, I could have thought he was crying.
- "Yes, I am.” I glided towards the mirror, my feet barely touching the floor, and I stood in front of it, staring at my reflection. Sage had done a great job, and she had put my hair in a ponytail so it wouldn’t disturb whatever would be going on today.
- My face was devoid of makeup except for the mascara she had forcefully worn on me because they would see my eyes, and it was only nice that they looked good. Although I don’t think anyone would bother about that, I had to humor her.
