Chapter two

• I was so shocked that I didn't even see someone behind him. By the time I recovered, there was a group of men and women around us already, murmuring among themselves as if watching a show.
• But I wasn't focused on them. My gaze was still stuck at the hand that had gripped my wrist tightly. I wanted to snatch my hand, but this person was just too strong. And the problem was, I couldn't even say a thing due to immense fear and nervousness. Every time this guy glanced at me, a chill was sent down my spine!
• Just then Aiden parted his lips and said in a rough voice, Take her inside.
• That was when I noticed an additional person right beside him. He was Aiden's Beta Stride, Ethan.
• The latter had gold rimmed glasses. The man's his black hair fell on his forehead and pushed up his glasses, gazing coldly at me.
• I stared at the two of them in fear. My limbs trembled crazily as my quivering lips parted and closed again and again without uttering a single word.
• Why! God, did I somehow curse you in my sleep! Please, let me go! I promise to serve a hundred beggars if you save me today!
• Wait! Just then, my ex boyfriend voiced out his words. He stared furiously at Aiden's hand that was gripping my wrist, and his anger flared. He glared at me. So you have seduced the famous cruel Aiden Davis too!
• In my heart, I was cursing my ex for having such bad timing. Wasn't he afraid of Alpha Aiden earlier He had rejected the idea of checking out the marquee earlier. Now when Alpha Aiden had captured me, my ex boyfriend suddenly wanted to snatch me back.

• I could hear the sound of hitting and someone even roared. The crowd around me gasped in surprise, but I didn't dare to open my eyes. I didn't want to see a cruel scene filled with blood.
• I already knew about Aiden's ability from the news on the television and werewolf magazine that was famous across all the packs in America. I knew he was capable of killing my ex boyfriend. I couldn't help but feel afraid.
• It wasn't like I still had lingering feelings for Sebastian. My feelings went down in the drain ever since the day he started doubting me even when I hadn't done anything. I even stopped feeling the race of my heartbeat when he suddenly became a control freak. All I could feel was the feeling of being suppressed by someone so much so that I found it harder to breathe.
• But that doesn't mean I wanted him to die!
• Suddenly, I felt someone flicking their fingers on my forehead, and I jolted, opening my eyes to see an amused Aiden standing right before me.

• I wanted time to heal myself before I could get married!
• But I really couldn't help but curse this mating ritual. Every year, it was necessary for all the singles to join the ceremony between the age group of 18-25. After that, even if you were single, no one would even look at you.

• For me, places like mating rituals were just considered as social suicide. I wouldn't lose all of my freedom, and again fall into the traps of depression like before. That was why I wanted to reject Aiden's proposal.
• Sir...I- I had just opened my mouth when I saw Aiden's eyes flashing darkly as he squinted his eyes at me.

• But the other packs filled werewolves hated such a thing. They hated associating with humans, and despised werewolves residing in the town.
• So it was surprising to see that a few girls were eyeing me with weird eyes. I pursed my lips, trying to hide my mood that was already sinking lower because of their gazes. I had always hated it when people would look at me like I was a freak.
• Just then, Aiden pulled me closer, and hoisted me up in a bridal style. I squealed. Put me down!
• Everyone should know that you belong to me. So they won't dare to look at you like that.
• So Aiden noticed It seemed this person wasn't as the rumors say.
