Chapter Seven

• I had imagined this night in many ways. At first, I had thought that I would end up getting pressed against the wall by Aiden after he got drunk. Later I thought that we would argue over something, and I would end up crying out helplessly.
• But little did I think that I would end up getting drunk instead and causing so much trouble to Aiden that he probably has had a headache! It all started from the talk about what were his plans for us after getting married!
• As soon as I heard the sentence that he wanted to mate me within a week, I felt as if I had lost my soul. My eyes widened so much that it could literally come out of the socket. Thankfully, Aiden didn't seem to see through my expression and I quickly hid myself before he could even see me. I pulled my hair before my eyes and gazed down at the table before me.
• Mating within a week! My face heated at the thought of it!
• Throughout the meal, I didn't talk to him and tried to digest his words until the waiter served us wine. And after that, I couldn't control my actions and almost tripped to get the wine and calm myself before I could face Aiden properly!
• But who would've thought that I would cause so much trouble I ended up becoming a completely different person!
• About an hour later, I found myself sprawling on the couch, muttering a bunch of crazy words.
• Why did you have to choose me! I was living a good life at home! Then I paused unnaturally and laughed historically. Huh Aiden, aren't you supposed to be ruthless Then why are you being so gentle to me I might fall for you, you know And I kept saying words without any restraint talking nonstop. I wish I had my Donald! I miss my teddy bear.
• Just then, Aiden seemed to press his fingers against his head as if trying to massage out of extreme exhaustion. Certainly, hearing a lady blabber about anything and everything for an hour continuously would make you exhausted. God knows what I rambled on and on that night. Perhaps I had ended up revealing my secrets! Not that I had secrets to behind with.
• Okay, we're leaving. He placed the money on the top of the table and grabbed my arm. I saw the opportunity and leaned on him, rubbing my face against his neck.
• Why're you so warm!
• He seemed to be hesitant on how to deal with me. He awkwardly grabbed my arms that were running on his body and pulled me gently. Let's go home. You shouldn't have drank so much.
• I'm not drunk! Then I grabbed his collar and said seriously, You hear me
• Yup, you're not drunk at all. If I were awake, I would have seen him rolling his eyes at me.
• But not only was I very drunk, I was even acting opposite of my personality! Normally, I would have a restraint and obedient attitude before everyone. But now, I was like a student who had suddenly given the news that he would never have to attend the school. Or like a prisoner who had just escaped the jail. I was just like them, enjoying the freedom of my restraint attitude.
• The entire ride, I kept rambling like usual.
• Hey, Aiden
• Hmm He asked without looking at me.
• When will you kiss me I blurted out without thinking.
• If Aiden was drinking something, he would've choked and coughed furiously at this. These days, he seemed to be restraining himself from jumping on his newly wedded wife. Now when I was suddenly acting like this, he was even finding it hard. If I were conscious, I would've seen his knuckles appearing as he gripped the wheels tightly.while driving the car. A trace of emotion flashed in his eyes but he took a deep breath and controlled himself.
• I would've remained silent after seeing this guy's expression. It was as if he was on the verge of giving up on his control and mating me right there in the car! But too bad, I was simply out of my mind and this was something I would surely regret tomorrow.
• You should get some sleep.
• Sleep I paused and nodded in a daze. Yes, I have to sleep. I couldn't sleep last night.
• After coming back, I didn't even change my dress and jumped on the bed, rubbing myself against the sheets. Just then, Aiden took out my nighty and threw it over me. Change before sleeping.
• I pulled the dress off of my face and pouted. Okay, mommy. I staggered while getting on my feet and started stripping right before Aiden!
• His eyes widened at this. He quickly turned around and closed the door behind him. Certainly, today had been a great stimulation for him. Not only had he seen my naked body, but also had to see this side of me. I would surely get embarrassed over this tomorrow! But at this time, I was too busy taking the dress off of my legs. After finally getting dressed, I jumped on the bed again.
• Aiden! I yelled.
• When he heard my sound, he came running as if panicking over something. What Did something happen
• I shook my head and said shyly, Can you sleep with me
• His shoulders relaxed and nodded slowly. He seemed to be so awkward while dealing with me. But he didn't care. He had already changed into his night dress and got on the bed beside me. When I saw him, I grinned happily and scooted closer, hugging him with all my might. I don't have my teddy bear, and that tattered toy smells a lot! From now on, you're going to be my teddy bear!
• Okay. After saying that, his lips curved up to form a satisfied smile. It seemed he was already planning to remind me of this conversation every night!
• For a while, it seemed as if I was already sleeping. I had nearly slept when I jolted. Even Aiden startled seeing my scared form. At this time, a thought had suddenly entered my head. I was suddenly remembering the previous night and the lingering fear I felt for Aiden's pack. I struggled to get away from Aiden, but the other person tightened his arms around me.
• What're you doing
• I'm closing the door! I struggled more. Let go of me! Anyone can enter.
• Amusement flashed in Aiden's eyes. Why would someone come here in the middle of the night
• It's because this is Aiden's pack! It's filled with cruel people! They can kill me anytime!
• He let out a chuckle. Where did you hear this thing
• It's known to everyone among the werewolves! I said proudly.
• Go to sleep. No one will come. And I'll protect you.
• You promise I looked up to see him with glistening eyes. You'll protect me
• Yes. Aiden said as if he was very serious about making this promise despite the fact that I might not remember this conversation at all tomorrow morning.
• Okay, go to sleep. He patted my shoulders as I hugged him to sleep, cuddling deep in his arms.
