Chapter Twenty Four

• I didn't even get a chance to yell when someone hit my head harshly and I fell on the ground, unconscious. Just before closing my eyes, I could feel someone towering above me, looking down at me in disdain.
• In my sleep, I felt a sharp pain in my stomach, but I could only furrow my brows and do nothing to protect myself.
• By the time I woke up, I saw a white ceiling with a fan hovering above me. There was a faint pain in my stomach, and I frowned.
