• " Francis..?" I said, with a hint of uncertainty to my voice. Her face kept giving me different reactions. Lying here, being subjected to my tummy being squeezed, not like it hurt or anything, it just felt weird. I got antsy more and more the more she left me hanging with my unanswered, unspoken question.
• She looked up at me, beaming so much I could almost see the gaps in her teeth that I guessed came with age. "Luna" she says, "you are blessed, in your stomach you have child." I was confused now, what did she mean? Don't we already know that I am with child? That's the same reason I found myself on her door step because I thought something was wrong with my child. Wasn't that it?
• She gets up and heads deep into her house. I didn't know where she was going and she left me in alter suspense. She appeared again with a basket in her hands. She sits beside me and I could finally see the contents of the basket. They were a bunch of herbs. Francis has a full blown smile now plastered on her face.
