Chapter 132 Echoes Of Revenge

  • Max moved as silently as a ghost through the dimly lit dungeons in the basement of the alpha council, his footsteps being so quiet that they were almost inaudible. As he inched his way through the maze-like corridors, the flickering torches cast eerie shadows on the wet walls. He was adamant about locating Thalia and Ruben, two council members whom Magnus had imprisoned, to exert the maximum amount of control over the packs that he could.
  • As Max rounded a corner, his heart pounded in his chest as his keen senses remained on the lookout for any indications of impending danger. It appeared as though the echoes of his own movements were reverberating through the icy stone, posing a potential threat to reveal his presence. Already, he had dispatched a few of the wolf guards that were scouring the dungeons; their lifeless bodies lay motionless against the walls.
  • He continued to make his way deeper into the underground maze until he finally came upon a cell that was barred on all sides and had an iron door that was secured with a heavy chain. Inside, Thalia and Ruben were seen huddled together, exhaustion and hopelessness written all over their faces. They had heard the ongoing chaos above, which filled them with both fear and hope.
