Chapter 13 Plans to run

• Selena was dozing off in the spacious bed for what appeared to be several hours. Her eyes wandered over to the expansive windows, where she observed the thin white curtains swaying in the warm summer breeze as the window was left open. She could see the dense forest just beyond the exquisite garden, and this made her consider her options. Oh, if only she could communicate with her wolf! Selena reclined in complete silence on the bed, fearing the next opportunity she would have to interact with him. Selena was shocked when she heard the sound of the bedroom door opening. She crossed her fingers hoping it wasn’t him. She was taken aback by the identity of the caller.
• Nancy, who was dressed in the standard black and white uniform of the house staff, entered the room. She had her long hair pulled back into a high ponytail, and as she walked, the heels of her shoes made a clicking sound against the floor. Behind her was one of Cayden's guards who is pulling what appeared to be a cart that a bellhop at a hotel would be pulling. As an alternative to luggage, the solitary metal rack on the cart was stacked to the top with what appeared to be expensive and fine designer clothing, while the bottom of the cart was stacked with shoe boxes. Nancy smiled at Selena before turning her attention to the man in the room. She escorted the man out of the room, and then Nancy and Selena were the only people left inside.
• As she turned towards Selena, she let out a sigh and then hugged her.
