Chapter 31

  • Reginald begins to speak, “I want to tell you two a story, this story I never told anyone. You two remind me of when me and my lovely wife Eleanor, was young, we were in the same predicament as you two, we was destined to be together also, and on our wedding day. We two did not have wedding rings, I was ashamed, and embarrassed, because I was so broke that I could not even give Eleanor a ring. But then she surprises me, by telling me that she will always love me with or without a wedding ring. That day I became the luckiest man; within a year I was able to get her a ring, it was not the best, and it was not the worst, she loves and cherishes that ring until she passed away ten years ago. “Reginald uttered shedding a tear.
  • “I’m sorry to hear about it, that so sad” Dawn replied with a tear in her eyes.
  • “It’s fine, but the moral of the story is this” Reginald went into the drawer of his desk, and he put out a string that had two gold wedding bands attach to it. Reginald spoke again “I kept these rings in my desk here for the last ten years. I believe that this is a sign here from Eleanor. If I knew my Eleanor, she would have wanted me to give these to you two, and that what I’m going to do.”
