Chapter 40

• Vanessa and Alison were getting all the pups together at the safe house as they headed downstairs in the basement. The basement was big, that it could fit about 200 people. It had everything you needed; there was plenty of food, twin-size mattresses, that could be lay on the ground, but most of all, weapons for protection. One of the most important that Alpha William had done was having three bathrooms built in the basement. While settling everyone in, Vanessa was looking for Catalina; when she did not see her, she looked around for Jacob; she remembers him telling her about what Catalina went to do. Finally, after 5 mins she found Jacob. “Jacob, did you hear back from Catalina yet?” Vanessa asks approaching him.
• “Not yet, Luna; I hope everything is ok” Jacob stated.
• Vanessa said, “I’m mind-linked her.” Vanessa attempted to mind-linked Catalina, when she was unable to reach her, she started to worry.
