Chapter 189 Making Up

  • I knew Augustus did not like people challenging his dominance. The more I made it sound like Olivia was trying to dispose of me, the more he would want to do the opposite.
  • To be honest, my words were not of absolute truth, but they were of necessity. After all Olivia's egregious offenses, there was no way I was going easy on her.
  • “What do you think you're doing, Erica?”
  • “Ms. Yarlett!” I shouted to cut her off, “I know I shouldn't have stayed with Augustus, to begin with. I know I messed things up for you both, but I promise I'll leave. Please just let me say goodbye to him before I leave. I will never come back and disturb y'all's life ever again.”
  • Olivia was obviously unwilling. She ordered the men to go up to my room to pack my luggage.
  • I stood outside my bedroom door as I watched them cleared my stuff. From their cautious behavior, I figured Olivia was somewhat afraid of Augustus. The men packed my stuff neatly without messing up my room so Augustus would not find out I was actually dragged out of the house.
