Chapter 104 I Will Never Forgive Her

  • I asked, “Truth or dare? What exactly are we supposed to do?”
  • Gerald gaped at my question and asked in return, “Are you seriously telling me you have never played truth or dare? Augustus, have you traveled through time and space to bring her back with you?”
  • I responded with a sheepish grin and said, “I'm so sorry, but I'm not really sure of the rules of the game.”
  • They ended up explaining the rules and regulations of the game. Since I had to quit university within a few weeks after I enrolled, I didn't have the chance to hang out with my peers. I soon ended up being a member of Phoenix and started mingling around with men that were at least half a decade older than me. All they did was to take advantage of me and play old-fashioned games with me. In short, it wouldn't be much of a surprise if I had never heard of the seemingly popular game.
  • Lucas instructed the waiter to bring them a few standard sets of dice. He asked, “Since you're from Phoenix, you're at least familiar with this, aren't you?”
  • It turned out they were conscious of my identity all along, but they seemed to have reached an agreement of not mentioning the elephant in the room. Seconds after I snapped out of bewilderment, I nodded. I couldn't help but wonder if they were truly glad to have me around or if they had been doing Augustus a favor. No matter what, I had a great evening with them because none of them despised me and seemed to enjoy my presence when they engaged in a conversation with me.
