Chapter 4 The Three Sisters

  • Deep in the mountain valley, Shanice the overall healer under the veil of dawn trekked into the deepest woods making sure that she was not followed. After walking for hours she turned along a thick path and at the end of it was a cute little white house. She smiled and took in the fresh breeze, it was always comforting being here.
  • “I thought you vowed never to set eyes on me,” A warm voice said behind her, snapping her out of her daydreaming.
  • “Is this how you welcome your elder sister?” Shanice replied.
  • Miranda shredded and walked past her furiously. “You abandoned us, go back to your useless packs, at least Danica visits me and she always brings something,” she added.
  • “Danica is in danger,” Sharice stated in a serious tone, forcing Miranda to stop in her tracks. “Danica is a badass and capable of taking care of herself,” she replied and continued walking.
  • Shanice ignored her and asked, “Did you do it?”
  • “I was banished from the mountain packs for the same thing you are asking me for, remember? Or have you forgotten because age is catching up with you?” Miranda teased.
  • “She is our sister, finding her a mate is the only way she will change. He should be human, kind, selfless, passionate, and compassionate. Someone that if she lay her eyes on, she would fall deeply in love. And you are the only Goddess capable of matching wrong mates,” Shanice replied
  • Miranda laughed she couldn't believe what she was hearing, Shanice never defended her the time she was banished but there she was asking her to break all the rules.
  • “I saw it in my dream, only a mate…..” but before Shanice could finish talking Miranda interrupted her
  • “I altered it, now leave. May you face the consequences alone. This has never been done before, Danica had no mate because of her life choices, that was her punishment. Previously I mismated souls but never gave a mate to anyone who had no mate,” Miranda replied.
  • Sharice ran to her sister and hugged her in excitement. She knew they had just broken the rules and it would lead to grave consequences but sometimes rules needed to be broken especially if a loved one was involved. Anyone in her shoes would have done the same for the family. “I love you, I knew you could do it but I doubt if there will be any consequences, he is human he can not be anyone's mate. We didn't steal anyone's mate.”
  • “Sharice, we changed a man's destiny for our selfishness and he can still be someone else's mate. I'm supposed to pair two souls that are compatible for eternity but I paired two souls with different paths.”
  • “The man is pure, his soul resonated like no other. That's why I forcefully paired him with our sister,” Miranda added.
  • “Did you seek council with the gods on his true mate?” Shanice asked.
  • Miranda rolled her eyes. “WHY would I!”
  • Miranda, the youngest of the three Grazel sisters, was a Moon Goddess. Danica the second was an Alpha female and Shanice the eldest was the overall healer. It was not known why the Gods gifted the dysfunctional sisters but they were born to both pure Alpha parents. Their mother died during the birth of Miranda, it was a very complicated birth that resulted in Miranda's impaired mental status. The pack declared her as an outcast but to their surprise, the healer declared her as the Moon Goddess.
  • But soon their father who couldn't take the death of his mate passed on. And little Danica took over as Alpha while Shanice was a healer.
  • But when Miranda took over as Moon Goddess, it did not seat well with most packs because of her mental disability. At first, they let it be because it was the will of the gods. But then she began pairing wrong mates when her mentality took a toll on her which forced them to banish her. This almost led to war forcing Danica to take her pack out of the mountain and began her reign in the city. Especially that a lot of werewolves did not also approve of her being Alpha.
  • Shanice remained in the mountains because of royalty and her duty. They allowed her to keep her healer title while Miranda declined Danica's offer in the city and moved into the woods where she lived alone.
  • The mountain Packs were soon blessed with a new Moon Goddess, Leto and they all forgot about Miranda but she was banished from paring any mates no matter the circumstances, breaking the rules would lead to death.
  • Shanice tried to influence other packs to be lenient on Danica but they all asked her not to give council about the matter because she was her sister. Every advice she gave on Danica was overlooked.
  • But now Danica needed her, she was out of order and a threat to the werewolves because of her carelessness. This forced Shanice to seek help from their youngest sister, the outcast Moon Goddess, some considered her as Rogue who was capable of mismatching mates.
  • The plan was to match Danica with a human mate who she would love wholeheartedly and distract her from her mafia business. Miranda declined at first but later changed her mind because Danica was becoming worse every day.
  • “What if the man rejects her? I can match them but I can not force him to love her?” Miranda asked.
  • “Danica loves money and she directs all her effort into getting it at all cost. What if she loved a man?” Shanice asked with a smile on her face.
  • “If the other healers or new Moon Goddess find out what we have done, we are dead,” Miranda said in a low voice.
  • “The risk is worth it,” Shanice replied. All they needed to do was stay quiet and no one would know. Not even Danica was supposed to know, they knew she wouldn't accept a wrongfully Mated mate.
