• Nolan successfully managed to remove all the visible sticks from Danica's body. He watched as some of the wounds healed up in front of his eyes with his mouth wide open. Some wounds were too deep and near her heart making it difficult for her to heal quickly. He was suspecting some tree fragments were logged inside, only a medical facility with the right equipment was going to work. 
• He took off his shirt and covered her up. Nikitia stared at him, pissed. He did not even once take his eyes off her. If she did not run after him, he would be dead. All of them would be dead but they were all focused on bloody Danica. 
• The mountain packs retreating gave them time to strategize a way out too. Jack and his pack retreated but not far away, he wanted to make sure Danica and her sister safely got away.
