Chapter 26 Symptoms: Cyrus POV

• 4 days. That's it. Then we'd mate and my body could go back to normal. Ever since last weekend I've had symptoms of going into heat. Not all the way, just enough to embarrass and annoy me. Leo's been helping, but I was starting to feel like a burden. Like I was using him. Especially because he never let me return the favor. That's why, at the moment, I was carrying our hamper down to the laundry room alone. Against my better judgment. But I needed a break to get my thoughts together. As I walked in, the scent of laundry detergent filled my nose.
• I headed towards the closest machine that wasn't in use and started to toss the clothes in, thankful that Leo had separated them already. Once I was done, I added the fabric softener and detergent before starting it up. I was about to head back out when my body started to heat up. Damn it. Not now. My legs gave out as my skin felt like it was on fire. This was a bit stronger than other times. Slick ran down my legs as my skin became more sensitive. I tried to crawl towards the door, but the friction from the fabric made me moan and fall to the floor completely. I lay there panting, hoping this would be over soon.
