Chapter 45: The Drug

• That night Jace pretended to be leaving the restaurant building for urgent business, but actually, he was picking up someone at the back door. Someone who had just changed into a t-shirt with a jacket and jeans threw the waiter uniform into the trash can. He poured gasoline and threw the lit lighter into the trash can. The man burned the uniform to ashes. He covered his head with a hat and put on the hood of his jacket to cover the hat he was wearing. The man wore blurry glasses and a mask to cover his face.
• When a luxury car stopped at the edge of a small alley not far from the back door of the restaurant building, the man quickened his pace and got into the car. Jace sat beside the man grinning in satisfaction.
• "You look good at pouring drinks and serving food," Jace complimented with a grin.
