Chapter 12: Preparation

• When she got home, Jace was waiting patiently for Ann. He was sitting on a high chair while doing something on his laptop, located on the bar table near the kitchen set. He wore a casual t-shirt with a v-neck and black shorts. His stocky calves were attractive in Ann's eyes. Jace wore anti-radiation glasses that made his face look smart and full of charisma. Jace looked up when he saw Ann's arrival. He smiled.
• "Hi, Ann. Did you have fun with Jax?” Jace asked as if he could guess what was going on.
• Ann's face immediately turned red. Suddenly she became embarrassed.
