- "He's a vampire. He's an abomination. He's a monster," Zane's voice growled low, with a terror Rhea had never witnessed in him before. He backed up a few steps from the stranger, his stance stiff, his fists balled.
- The stranger, pale-skinned, blood-red-eyed, and with a cruelly beautiful smile, looked at Zane with amused boredom. "I am not a monster. I am a prince. I am Lucien. And I am come for my destiny. I am come for the Luna."
